words from acd; i convinced my friend Dee to read the SH stories and he was so surprised that the ’elegant and gentlemanly’ sherlock holmes of his mind turned out to be a ’rude, arrogant prat-face who’s actually four years old and now i can see why his author shoved him off of a waterfall’. i feel proud.
