_{the year is 2031. the line between heroism and destruction is no longer existent, as the world’s hero’s drift into the realm of death and cold retribution. in order to deal with the impending chaos, superman returns to metropolis and reforms the justice league after years of defunct status. he and the new league establish a prison (nicknamed “the gulag”) to hold it’s dissidents. all except for bruce wayne, the main dissenting voice to superman’s rising power. with wayne manor destroyed in the wake of his secret identity being revealed, he uses a robotic suit and other enhancements to continue his war on crime, turning gotham into a monitored police state under his control. in this new world, he forms “the outsiders”, a group that works to end superman’s reign and also thwart the mankind liberation front; a group led by lex luthor and other villains.}
