Not only had Poirot taken tisane, he had then tidied most of Holmes’ apartment, and his luggage, so that it was to his standards. Usually he didn’t busy-body as much, but he knew his old friend didn’t mind, and probably expected it of him. Once finished, he did meet Holmes outside, and was smiling contentedly, the car waiting “-Hello again Mon Amie, I trust your business went well, oui?” the driver got out, giving Poirot and polite nod and opened the door for them. “-after you,”
and holmes most certainly did not mind.
he didn’t have to sort out the room now –
( though he was sure to turn it into a sea of paper soon enough with his habits.
he reorganized the sitting room often, much to the annoyance of watson. )
as poirot held the door, holmes’ mouth quirked in his peculiar not-smile before entering with a nod. he is not in the most talkative of moods at the moment. though, in truth, he is never fond of conversation for conversations’ sake.
he wishes for nothing more than silence.
any words will be met with his refusal to talk.
