     v.    holmes is v. rich (in FINA, had enough money when he was 34
            to retire comfortably)
     vi.   he had his left canine knocked out by matthews (FINA)
     vii.  watson & him once went undercover with the names:
                Sherrinford Doyle & Ormond Sacker
                ( Holmes & Watson respectively
                   Based off their original names )
     viii. his great uncle, Horace Vernet, was a famous French painter.
            I believe he painted war history for Napoleon III?
     ix.   in all honesty, holmes probably came to watson’s house
            in the pouring rain at some ungodly hour, and asked the poor
            doctor to help him write LION & BLAN. that’s why the writing
            styles are so similar
     x.    holmes is ambidextrous, though he was born left-handed.
     xi.   holmes hadn’t celebrated his birthday since he left home
            ( even then, it was more obligatory than anything really festive ).
