                                                _{holmes is like the mantle underneath the crust. undoubtedly solid and composed of rock. yet, like water, convection currents churn the rock until it behaves like plastic, rising with the heat of the core and falling when the absence of warmth outweighs heat.}

           _{javert is different and holmes is keen to take note of them. where there is softness, holmes glazes over it with a cool frost until ice and flesh join — if thick enough, the ice cannot be pierced.}
